11/12 BOMAN FUNERAL HOME DONATES TO CHRISTMAS AT THE BRIDGE

Pictured are Christmas at the Bridge Organizers Erika Pride, Marsha Halbach, Zona Graves & Brian Andrews receiving the check from Theo & Teri Boman of Boman Family Funeral Home.

The team in charge of Christmas at The Bridge is pleased to announce that Theo and Teri Boman of Boman Funeral Home in Webster City have donated $364 towards the event. "We picked the amount of $364.00 to remind people that there is more than one day a year for giving." said Theo Boman. "Personal giving of time, talents and treasures makes for a good community."

The third annual event will be held Saturday, December 13 from 9-noon at The Bridge (900 Des Moines Street). It is FREE to anyone who would like to pick a gift for someone for Christmas. This year the goal is to have 500 gifts to choose from and also to provide a card making and a gift wrapping station. "It is a joy to help people during the holiday season and being able to pick out a present to give to someone you love at Christmastime is something everyone should be able to do." said Marsha Halbach, one of the organizers. "We also have treats and candy canes for the participants."

Several other businesses have also seen the value in the community event. "Many community leaders and service clubs are excited to be involved with this event." stated Pastor Chad Halbach of the Webster City Church of Christ. "People have been excited about being involved with a program that is about giving to others, not focusing on receiving. This is a great way to teach generosity and make a small difference in our town."
