Dallas Weldon Mason

Dallas Mason, 96, of Stanhope, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Southfield Wellness Community, in Webster City. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, January 29, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City. Graveside service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at The Harlan Cemetery in Dumont, Iowa


Dallas was born on October 22, 1921, in Aredale, Iowa, to Paul and Blyth (Baldock) Mason. He attended Country School near Aredale. He married Esther Montandon at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua Iowa. Dallas Served in the Army. He farmed by Dows and the surrounding area then moved to the Webster City and worked at Nissons Company for 20 years. He enjoyed farming, spending time fishing and raising goats.

His family includes sons Dan of Webster City, and Steve of Stanhope; brother Dwayne (Anita) Mason of Aredale, Iowa; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife; and brother Warren.
