Norman Dally

Norman Dally, 80, of Webster City, died on December 31, 2017, at his home. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 1:00-2:45 at First Baptist Church in Webster City. With a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Norman was born on July 14, 1937, in Webster City, Iowa to Oliver and Nora (Lemon) Dally. He attended school in Webster City, graduating from the Webster City High School.

Norman attended Iowa State University from 1955-1956, and then went to electronics school through the US Coast Guard. Norman was in the US Coast Guard from January 7, 1958 – January 26, 1962. He went to water plant school in 1975, and then got his real estate education, and received his real estate license in 1984. He married Janice Young on June 20, 1970.

Norman was a self-employed farmer & trucker, but he also worked from Webster City International from 1966-1969, the City of Webster City Water Treatment Plant, and real estate sales.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 491 in Duncombe, Iowa, and a member of the Gideon’s International. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Webster City, Iowa.

Norman’s family includes his wife Janice; niece Christina Pate (Ken Crise); nephews Joe (Janette) Dally, Jim (Darcy) Dally; great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Judy Preissendoerfer, and Jeanine Albrecht. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wilbur; nephew Patrick Dally; niece Paula Frank; and sister-in-law Jackie Young.

Memorials may be designated to Gideon’s International or First Baptist Church
