Betty Ann Morton, 84, of Webster City, IA, died May 1, 2014 at Southfield Wellness Center in Webster City.  Friends and family will gather at The Bridge (905 Des Moines Street) on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
Betty was born to Joseph & Anna (Schweighofer) Ruml in Coon Rapids, IA on February 24, 1930.  She was educated in country schools near Milford, IA.  Betty and Larry (Bud) Morton were united in marriage in 1948 in Webster City.  In the early years of their marriage, she was employed by Morton Frozen Foods & Franklin’s Manufacturing in Webster City.  She was a beautiful person inside and out, great cook and a wonderful mother & grandma.  Betty enjoyed taking care of her family, crossword puzzles & TV game shows.
Her family includes daughter Cindy (Bob) Ballantine of Harpers Ferry, IA, son Steve (Karen) Morton of Webster City, five grandchildren Jody Head of Waterloo, IA, Bill Morton of Webster City, John Ballantine of East Duduque, IL, Scott Morton of Webster City & Jamie Kellogg of Ionia, IA, 12 great grandchildren & brother Bill (Marge) Ruml of Lake Park, IA.
Preceding her in death are her husband, two brothers (John & Joe) & two sisters (Mary & Florence).
