Dorothy Myers died peacefully on January 19, 2021, at Van Diest Medical Center, in Webster City, Iowa. Visitation will be at Faith United Methodist Church, in Webster City, IA, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10:00-10:45 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to follow at the church. Private burial will be held at another time. Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) is caring for the family’s needs.

Dorothy was born March 5, 1924, in Webster City, Iowa, to Raymond and Gladys Bowman Agan. She was educated in Webster City graduating with the Lincoln High School class of 1942. Following graduation, she lived and worked in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in Des Moines, Iowa. Dorothy married Oliver Myers on February 15, 1947, in Webster City. Their children are Dan and Dale. Dorothy worked at the Webster City Credit Bureau until retirement, then worked at the Congregate Meal site, retiring at 80 years old.

Dorothy was a very positive person. She enjoyed camping and fishing, observing all the “critters” out there. And she was a real people person! She loved playing cards, her bowling leagues, bus trips and volunteering. She also enjoyed reading her cookbooks and trying new recipes.

Dorothy’s family includes: her son Dan Myers and his wife Linda Kloberdanz of Webster City; sister Edna; and nephews Jack and Jim Bernsmeier. She was predeceased by her husband Oliver; son Dale Myers; parents Raymond and Gladys Bowman Agan; and her brother, Howard Agan.
