Juanita Fendley, 92, of Webster City, Iowa, (formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming) died November 19, 2009 at Windsor Manor, Webster City.  A celebration and remembrance of her life will be held at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Mike Fendley officiating.  Visitation will be Monday November 23rd, from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  Internment will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens on East Hwy. 30.  Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church, 1800 East Pershing Blvd. of Cheyenne, Wyoming - Youth Ministry of which her son was a part.  A memorial service will also be held at Windsor Manner on November 30th, 2009 at 7:00pm. Mrs. Fendley was born January 3rd, 1917 in Gordo, Alabama to James and Eula Hall.  She married Marvin Fendley in June 15th of 1940 in Bessemer, Alabama.  He died in 1966.  Mrs. Fendley started working at F.W. Woolworths upon graduation from high school.  She would eventually work in photography for most of her adult life for Olin Mills, Frontier Studio in Cheyenne, and Marv Fendley Studios that she and her husband owned and operated.  Upon her husband’s death she operated the studio for 2 more years, before the business was discontinued.  She then worked for Conrad’s Dress Shop until she retired at age 70.  She lived in Cheyenne for 50 years before moving to Iowa to be near her son and family.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Cheyenne and then Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bettendorf, Iowa.  She was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ having committed her life to Him at age 14.  Mrs. Fendley enjoyed gardening, sewing, and especially embroidery that she pursued up to the point of her home going.  She was a faithful wife and a loving mother.
Survivors include her youngest sister Jimmie Grace Waggoner of Atlanta, Georgia, her son Mike Fendley (Janice) of Stratford, Iowa, grand children, Brenda Johnston (Tim) of Sacramento, CA, and Craig Fendley (Christal) of Bettendorf, Iowa, and great grand children Paige, Faith, and Seth Johnston and Vallarie, Nicolas, and Zachary Fendley.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Marguerite, sisters Marie and Louise and brother Herbert.
