Margaret Mae (Yahnke) Kopps, 90, of Webster City went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 11:56 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2019. She resided at Windsor Manor in Webster City, Iowa. A private family Service will be held at a later date. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Margaret was born on August 27, 1928, daughter of Glen and Florence (Jensen) Yahnke, in Ledyard, Iowa. She graduated high school in Glendale, California. Upon her return to Iowa, she graduated from Hamilton Business College in Mason City and later from Bernelles School of Cosmetology in Fort Dodge. She later opened her own hair salon: Margaret’s Hair Fashions, in their home in Clarion, Iowa.

On June 4, 1950, Margaret married William J. Kopps of Mason City in Ledyard, Iowa. The couple resided in Clarion, Iowa where Margaret lived for sixty years before moving to Webster City.

She loved her family and considered them one of her greatest joys, finding time with her grandchildren a particular delight. Margaret enjoyed a multitude of interests such as baking, gardening, and traveling. Her artistic talent took her in many different directions from hair styling to fashion designing, sewing, teddy-bear making, decorating, porcelain doll creations and stained-glass artwork.

Margaret’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was of central importance in her life. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Clarion, and then the Nazarene Church. Most recently she has been attending Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg, Iowa.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynn (Gaylord) Victora of Webster City, Iowa; her son, William Jeffrey (Diane) Kopps of Keizer, Oregon; her grandson, Jason William (Katy) Victora of Grimes, Iowa; her granddaughter, Heather Nicole (Clint) Deardorff of Yale, Iowa; five great-grandsons: Landon and Nolan Victora, and Corbin, Connor, and Carter Deardorff; a sister-in-law Ruby Kopps, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; a son, Marcus Bradley Kopps; and her sister Fran Edwards.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Condolences may be sent to 2213 N. Terrace Drive in Webster City, Iowa 50595
