Mary (Margot) Margaret Tighe

Mary Margaret (Margot) Tighe, 79, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City following an extended illness.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. 
 Visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, September 3 from 5:00-8:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.  Boman funeral home in Webster City is handling arrangements.
 Margot is survived by her husband  of over 59 years, Richard; children, Merydith (John) Thomas of Camanche, IA; Paula (Richard) Eddy of Madison, WI; Constance (Robert) Humble of Estherville, IA; Richard (Leslie) Tighe of Middletown, MD; James (Sherry) Tighe of Spencer, IA;  Margaret (Marc) Shonka of Des Moines, IA; 36 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters Carol Joan Rigg and Mary Susan Haxton and brothers Paul Russell Daly, Daniel Daly, and Mark Daly.
 Margot was preceded in death by her infant son Terrence Joseph, her parents Paul and Helen Merydith Daly, sister Patricia Hultgren and brother Timothy Daly as well as two infant grandchildren.
 Mary Margaret (Margot) Daly was born on August 28, 1933 in St. Joseph, MO.  She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City, IA, in 1951.  She was united in marriage to Richard Tighe on April 27, 1953 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. 
 Margot and her family made their home in the following communities: Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Hamilton, Ontario Canada, Fort Dodge, IA, Carroll, IA and have lived in Webster City since 1967.  Over the years Margot worked in a variety of secretarial and bookkeeping positions and especially enjoyed her time spent working for St. Thomas Aquinas church.
