Paul Andrew Kern

Paul Kern, 80, of Webster City, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, in Ames, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Paul Andrew Kern was born on June 19, 1940, in Humboldt, Iowa to Arthur and Francis (Lanzer) Kern. He attended the Webster City Schools graduating in 1958. In 1963, he married Delores Kay Tempel in Jefferson, Iowa. For 55 years he had his own business Paul Kern Painting, where he did interior, and exterior painting for new and remodeled homes and business.

In his younger days Paul enjoyed Merchant Fast Pitch Ball, Golf and the Bowling League. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play high school sports.

Paul’s family includes his wife of 57 years; daughter Alicia (Mark) Crouthamel and their children Caleb and Seth, all of Webster City; son Ryan of Minnesota; three sisters; and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
