Scott Desler Parkhill

Scott Desler Parkhill, 50, of Des Moines, died at his home on Friday, June 26, 2020. The family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 22, from Noon to 4PM at The Bridge (905 Des Moines Street, Webster City, IA).

Scott was born on December 26, 1969, to Denny and Dottie Parkhill in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended the Webster City High School, graduating in 1988, he then earned an Associates of Arts Degree. Scott married Dee Steinhart in 1997.

He enjoyed his work in Urbandale as an independent carpet layer, and in the meat department at Fareway. Scott was an avid fan of Alabama football and Houston Astros baseball and all things music. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his family at bonfires.

Scott’s family includes sons: Cody Ford and his pre-born son Colten, of Webster City, and Kip Parkhill and his children Scarlett and Kynlee of West Des Moines; daughter Channing Parkhill of Urbandale; father Denny of Webster City; brothers: Marty (Chris) Parkhill of Webster City, and JR Parkhill of Des Moines; five nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his mom Dottie and brother Troy.
