Shawn Lee Mofle

Shawn Lee Mofle, 41 of Webster City died Thursday March 6, 2008 Elk Point, SD.

He was born September 15, 1966 in Sioux Falls, SD to Duane and Janice (Andersen) Mofle. He graduated in 1984 from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD and in 1988 from Southeast Vocational Technical College in Sioux Falls, SD.

Shawn married Lisa Haag on November 2, 1996 in Sioux Falls South Dakota. The couple has lived in Yankton, SD, Ashton, IA and most recently in Webster City, IA. He was a longtime coach and sporting official and was currently self-employed. Shawn was a member of the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and St. Thomas Acquinas Catholic church. He was an avid Steelers fan.

Shawn is survived by his wife of 11 years; eight children Alicia, Jay, Morgan, Mitchell, Ty, Shalis, Peyton, and Naudika; parents Jerry and Janice Doppenberg; brother Craig Mofle; sister Chris Hovaldt; grandmother Myra Mofle; and numerous in-laws and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father Duane Mofle; grandparents Lawrence Mofle and Edward and Jenola Andersen and Albert Doppenberg; and a nephew Matthew Schultz.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday 3:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City, Father Scott Boone will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 PM with a funeral vigil service at 6:30pm, at the Boman Funeral Home, 613 Ohio Street, Webster City, Iowa.

Burial will be 3:00 pm Wednesday at the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD
