Arlene L. Schneider

Arlene Lucille Schneider, 97, of Webster City, IA, died Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Her visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 pm at Boman Funeral Home in Webster City.  The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lu Verne, IA.  Her family includes two sons Richard (Marilyn) of White Plains, GA & Fred (Marlene) of Webster City, IA, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & sister-in-law Edith Woodrow of ND.
She was born August 23, 1915 in Rock Lake, ND to Fred & Olga (Hansen) Woodrow.  She graduated from Sarles, ND High School.  Arlene and George A. Schneider were married September 22, 1933 in Dresden, ND.  They then moved to Iowa, farming at various areas, and settling near Bancroft where they purchased a farm in 1951.  In later years, Arlene worked at Weld’s Hatchery in Bancroft.  She lost George in October of 1967.  Upon retirement, she moved to Humboldt and in 1997 to Webster City.
Her family includes two sons Richard (Marilyn) of White Plains, GA & Fred (Marlene) of Webster City, IA, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & sister-in-law Edith Woodrow of ND.  She was preceded in death by her husband, sister (Florence), brothers (Chester, Leslie & Arvid) and two nephews.
