Avon Mavis Lewis

Avon Mavis Lewis, 78, of Webster City, died on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at home in the Crestview Apartments. Services will be held Friday January 20, 2017 @ 1:30 PM at Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Earl Beal of Joy Baptist Church Officiating. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Avon was born on February 2, 1938, in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Lee and Merna (Hayden) Clark. She married Ronald Lewis. Avon loved being a mother and grandmother, most of all.

Her family includes her daughter Paula (Randall) Denning, of Webster City; granddaughter Shannon Danner, and her daughter Tessa of Ames, IA; grandsons Jason (Tara) Danner and their children Collin, and Lauren of Noblesville, IN, and Joshua Rhoer of Marshalltown, Iowa. siblings: Darlene Brees of Marshalltown, IA, Jerry (Barb) Clark of Browning, MO, Lynn (Liz) Clark of Humboldt, AZ, David Clark of Browning, MO, Nacita (Fred) Jackson of Nederville, TX, and Melody (Kerry) Holland of Tuscola, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons: William Rhoer II, Todd Rhoer, and Lawrence Rhoer; and siblings: Bill Clark, Marle Clark, Timothy Clark, Sharwyn Zimmerman, and Norma Mann.
