Bonnie Lee Pelz, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, surrounded by friends and family, after a long struggle with several health issues. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 5, at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com).
Bonnie was born on March 6, 1940, in New Hampton Iowa to Carl and Ethel (Lewis) Ingram. While in her teens one of her favorite pastimes was roller skating, she was also a member of the Glee Club, at the Charles City High School where she graduated in 1958. She Married Robert Bisher in 1959 in Minneapolis, MN. In 1968 she married Arthur Niles, in New Hampton, IA, and in 1978 she Married Jack Pelz, in Blairsburg, IA.
Bonnie was employed at Electrolux for 36 years and was a member of the UAW Local 442. She was also part of UShare for 15 years, and 4H for 8 years. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. Her life passion was collecting vintage jewelry, and garage sailing. She was a talented musician, astute at playing piano, organ, and accordion, and used her musical talents at the skating rink on weekends. Bonnie was a member of the Baptist Church.
Her family includes: Son William Bisher, of Webster City, IA; daughter Brenda Bisher Weeks of Kealakekua, HI; and Sisters Audrey Boysen of Beaverton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Dorothy Stacy and son Berri Bisher.
