Charles “Wade” Greiner, 64, of Webster City, died at home with his family by his side, on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Boman Funeral Home in Webster City. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, also at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com).
Wade was born on May 27, 1961, to Charles and Joyce (Brockling) Greiner. He was later adopted by Judy (Hanson) Greiner, who lovingly raised him alongside Charles, until her death. Wade attended school in Blairsburg and transferred to Story City for his senior year.
Wade had a diverse work history and held many roles throughout his life, including truck driver, grain elevator chemical applicator, L.P. delivery driver, Schwan’s ice cream driver, body shop manager, and most recently, a nurse’s aide at Southfield Wellness Community—until illness prevented him from continuing. No matter the job, Wade was known for building strong relationships with his employers, who valued him as a dedicated and dependable member of their team.
He married the love of his life, Kim Anderson on January 1, 2022. Wade loved the outdoors—fishing at Brushy Creek, visiting the shooting range there, and especially riding his Electra Glide Harley with Kim. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). Wade was a lovable, fun-loving guy with a quick wit and a playful, flirty charm that made people smile. Wade had a way of making others feel welcome and at ease—people simply loved being around him.
Wade is survived by his wife Kim Greiner, her son Matthew (Brandy) Darrah of Webster City; father Charles Lyman Greiner; biological mother, Joyce Stickfort; Brothers and sisters: Jeff Greiner, Clark (Corina) Greiner, Alan (Becky) Greiner, Bruce (Jeannette) Greiner, Angie (Dave) Derr, Josh (Mandy) Zimpher. Children: Kirsten Burdick, Michelle (Blair) Burdick, Nicole Greiner, Logan Greiner, Landon (Jessica) Beck, and Olivia Beck; and 11 Grandchildren, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wade is preceded in death by his adoptive mother Judith Ann Greiner; and Grandparents: Lyman and Violet Greiner, Gilbert and Fern Brockling, and Roy and Roselma Hansen.
