Christine Hutchison, 77, of Webster City, died on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, Iowa

Christine was born on July 11, 1949, to William and Betty McAllister-Schleigh in Baltimore, Maryland. She later made her home in Muscatine, Iowa, where she met Raymond Hutchinson while working as a dog sitter for him. What began as a dog-sitting job eventually blossomed into love, and the two were married. Christine and Ray made their home in Ames in 2008 before moving to Webster City in 2012. Christine was a member of Anchor Point Church in Webster City.

Christine enjoyed traveling with Ray, and together they traveled to Guam and the Hawaiian Islands. She loved shopping, both for herself and for others, and especially enjoyed decorating their home and yard for Christmas. One of her greatest joys was being a Nanny to her granddaughters and spending time with her family.

Christine's family includes her husband, Ray; two daughters: Jenny VanWey of Webster City and Chelse Whitacre of Muscatine; three granddaughters: Nicole (fiancé Alex Burns) Boyd of Webster City, Alexis (Logan) Granahan-Boyd of Webster City, and Lyndsey Whitacre of Muscatine; and one great-granddaughter Parker Boyd; siblings: Patricia Donovan of Montana, Ronald (Kathy) Schleigh of Tennessee, Janis McDaniel of Parkville, MD, Terri (William)Johnson of Bel Air, MD, and Steven (Lisa) Schleigh of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael Schleigh and sister Nancy Williams.
