Constance “Connie” Sue Klooster, 71, of Webster City, died Monday, December 26, 2016, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com). Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Webster City.
Connie was born on January 23, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio to Irvin and Betty (Bell) Soma. She graduated from Belmond High School and then worked at the Belmond Drugstore where she met Wallace “Wally” Klooster. Connie and Wally were married on July 12, 1964, in Belmond.
After several moves, they settled in Blairsburg, Iowa to raise their family. While living in Blairsburg they were members of Missionary Alliance Church where she helped with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In 1993 the couple moved to Webster City, where Connie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and helped with bible school.
Connie’s family includes: son Craig (Joyce) of Lincoln, NE; daughter Brenda Boughton of Humboldt, IA; seven grandchildren: Joshua (Leah) Klooster of Kansas City, MO, Jacob, Brieanna, Garrett (Danielle), and Braelyn Klooster all of Lincoln, NE, Bethany Klooster of Webster City and Travis Boughton of Eagle Grove, Iowa; 14 brothers and sisters: Jerry (Seta) Soma, Karen (Mike) Riordan, Joann (Jim) Grimes, Bonnie (Paul) Gogerty, Ken Soma, Don Soma, Duane (Carol) Soma, Patty (Dave) Widick, Jeff Soma, Steve (Lori) Soma, Carol (Matt) Carlson, Terri Soma, Rodney (Julie) Soma, and Susie Soma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son Scott Klooster; granddaughter Brittany Klooster; sister Kaye Johansen; and brother Les Soma.
