Danny Leroy Riley, the son of Leland Leroy and Phyllis Gayle Weedman Riley was born on June 17, 1946 in Webster City, Iowa.
Danny was a very thoughtful caring man with a big heart. His favorite thing to do was listening to old classic country music by all the greats. When listening to them, he could tell you the title, artist, and when it came out. He also loved listening to the gospel every Sunday morning. His next favorite thing to do was watch his favorite sitcoms, and he loved a good day of shopping and eating out.
Danny was a member of Friends Forever where he built great memories and friendships. He worked in restaurants, including one of his first jobs at Sambo’s where he started as a dishwasher and promoted to a cook. Later years did custodial work for Social Services where they’ve shared how meticulous he was, taking great pride in his work up until the time he retired.
He loved and missed his mom every day. He was a loving brother and uncle and good at teasing them and making them laugh. We’ll miss him and his quirky sense of humor.
Survivors include his sister, Debbie (Roger) Consier of Joplin, MO.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandy Hetland, Shirley Jensen, Cindy Helton. Nephews, Stewart Sweazey and Bryan Jensen.
