David Darin Takle, 46, of Webster City, died at his home on Monday May 30, 2011. A funeral service will be Thursday @ 7:00 PM at Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with Rev. Gary Snook officiating. Family will receive friends at the church starting at 5:30 PM Thursday. Boman Funeral & Cremation of Webster City is caring for the family.
Dave was born to Charles & Bertha (Roberts) Takle on May 3, 1965 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1983. In 1991 he and Carolyn Vaughn married in Homer, IA.
For 22 years Dave worked for Hamilton County Conservation as a Mechanical Technician. His accomplishments in the three county parks include but are not limited to construction of cabins, moving water from the Skunk river to Little Wall Lake, and maintaining the 911 tower. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited & NRA. He served as a Reserve Police Officer for the Webster City Police Dept Dave loved to grill. He studied and practiced until he was an expert griller. Dave was able to troubleshoot and fix about anything. He provided most of his free time and talents to help family and friends.
David’s family includes: his wife Carolyn of 20 years and his mother Bertha, both of Webster City, two step-daughters, Dianne Farley of Fort Dodge, Sherie (Eric) Silbaugh of Cedar Rapids, step-son Patrick (Alesha) Farley of Vinton, IA, 9 Grandchildren, twin brother Dan (Stacy) Takle Hudson, IA, and older brother Duke (Renee)Takle of Ankeny, IA.
