Dennis Bergman

Dennis Bergman, 81, of Stratford, died in his home on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Visitation will be on Monday, May 30, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Stratford Lutheran Church in Stratford. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Stratford Lutheran Church, with Pastor Alex Zenk officiating. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Dennis was born on September 10, 1940, in Webster City, IA to Herbert and Arlene (Johnson) Bergman. He married Dolores Osborn on May 28, 1958, at the Stratford Methodist Church. Dennis Farmed row crops, hogs and Cattle in the Stratford/Dayton area. He was a School Bus driver for Stratford for 22 ½ years as well as serving as the Director of bus transportation, and mechanic.

Dennis was an avid supporter of the Clay County Fair and camped at the fair for over 30 years. He enjoyed his coffee and sharing a cup with anyone.

Dennis’s family includes: three sons Tony (Sharon) Bergman, of Stratford; Doug Bergman of Stratford and Greg Bergman, of Webster City; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother Jerry of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his wife; sister Gloria; and brothers: Dale, Dean, and Curtis.
