Doris Griffin

Doris Marie Griffin, 92, of Webster City, died on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Crestview Nursing & Rehabilitation, in Webster City.  A joint graveside service for Doris and her husband Gilbert, will be held at Saratoga Cemetery, North of Stanhope, on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Doris was born on August 19, 1931, in Webster City, to Clyde and Betsey MacFarland.  She married Gilbert Griffin on March 15, 1948.  She was an Air Force wife and followed Gilbert wherever he served, many of her eight children were born in different states.  In addition to caring for her family, she sold Avon for many years.  Doris enjoyed playing bingo, Yahtzee, and baking cookies.

Her family includes her sons:  Ken (Sue) Griffin, Tony (Barb) Griffin, and Scott (Paula) Griffin; daughter Susan Holder; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by four of her children:  June Caulley, Rick Griffin, Mike Griffin, and Terry Griffin.
