Dorothy Mae Englehart

Dorothy Mae (Tucker) Englehart, 93, of Webster City, died peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.  The family will receive friends and relatives at  First Congregational United Church of Christ, in Webster City, on Friday, January 22, from 10 am to 11 am followed immediately with a memorial service at 11 am.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.  It was her wish to be cremated and to be interned with her husband, Pat and her other family members in Fredericktown, Missouri.  The interment will take place at a later date.


She was born on May 8, 1922 to Sterling and Jessie (Boren) Tucker in Womak, Missouri.  She graduated from high school in Fredericktown, Missouri.  In 1943, she married, O. C. “Pat” Englehart. 


Dorothy was the secretary at Webster City High School for many years as well as active in the lives of her children and grandchildren.  She was also active in the community and her church.


Her family includes: Paula (Gary) Vaughn of Boone, Iowa, LeAnn (John) Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ed (Deb) Englehart of Marshfield, Wisconsin.  She has five grandchildren: Nathan (Stacy) Murphy, Spencer Vaughn, Emily Vaughn, Keegan Murphy, and Conlan Murphy and one great grand-child, Grayson Murphy. 


She was preceded in death by her husband, O. C. “Pat” Englehart, her parents, Sterling and Jessie Tucker, her two brothers, Leeman Tucker and Sterling Tucker, Jr., and her two sisters, Ruby LaChance and Pauline Fisher.


Her family sends their heartfelt gratitude to her friends and care providers who were so kind and caring.
