Dwight Eugene Middleton 77, of Webster City, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Paula J Baber Hospice Home in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. The family will receive friends and relatives on, Monday, May 10th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, IA. A grave side service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle, Grove, at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Cards may be mailed to Boman Funeral Home (601 Ohio Street, Webster City, IA 50595).

Dwight was born on April 15, 1944 to Elwood and Rosetta (Jergensen) Middleton. He attended Troy #2 Country School through 8th grade. He often rode his pony to school and was the only one in his class until finishing his education at Eagle Grove High School. He started helping with farming and was driving a tractor at the age of 5.

Dwight married Joyce Claude on July 1, 1966 at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove, Iowa.Their first date was at the Laramar Ballroom in Fort Dodge. They spent many Saturday nights there dancin’ away, drinking Bud Light and enjoying friends until the door officially closed several years ago. After farming near Highview for 19 years (with one of the girls following him up and down the bean rows on their minibike), he moved to Webster City and was employed by united co-op.

Dwight always enjoyed family time spent with his three daughters and seven grandchildren. He loved giving his youngest granddaughter Vanasia a hard time. His favorite pastime was spent on his Harley, he had been riding since the age of 14. Dwight and Joyce enjoyed many trips to Sturgis, riding the hills and visiting all the local establishments with friends.

Dwights family includes: his wife; daughters: Kim (Jeff) Daniels of Webster City, Jill Middleton, of Grapevine, Texas, and Holly Middleton, of Gilbert, Iowa; grandchildren Cole Daniels, Maddison Rholl, Kaci Daniels, Carter Rholl, Bradey Gully, Jahni Middleton, and Vanasia Ellis; siblings: Greg (Pat) Middleton, Vicki Jorgensen, Linda (Dave) Gord, Kay Schnurr, and Steve (Linda) Middleton; and Uncle Jack Middleton of Ankeny, IA
