Edith Fischer

Edith C. Fischer, 81, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Paula Baber Hospice Home, in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home (www.carsonstappfuneralhome.com) is handling the arrangements.

Edith was born on September 26, 1940, in Woolstock, Iowa to William and Evelyn (Pease) Fischer. After graduating from the Eagle Grove High School in 1958, she attended the Minneapolis Bible College in Minnesota. After College she moved back to Iowa and worked as office help at Nissen Meat processing in Webster City for several years. Edith then worked for Hamilton County Public Health as an in-home worker until she retired. She had a pencil collection, liked cats, and enjoyed reading, and babysitting.

Edith’s family includes her sister and brother-in-law, Vern and Viola Ratcliff; several nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.
