Eileen Rae Hayden, 83, of Stratford, Iowa, died in the loving embrace of her children, Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge Iowa. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stratford on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Mike Fendley officiating.  Visitation will be at 9:30 AM.  BomanFH.com.
Eileen was born July 20, 1929 to Cyril & Pearl (Clevette) Boyea in , Appleton, WI. Following her high school graduation she continued her education completing two years of night school, and was a life long student of learning.  Eileen and James Harrell Hayden married in 1948 in Sparks, NV.  Their entire married life was spent in Nevada, where the family was raised.  While there she worked as a Keno Writer and in-home caregiver.  Eileen moved to Stratford in 1994 to be near her daughter’s family where she continued to work as an in-home caregiver, and was “grandma” to all the kids at the Stratford Daycare.
Eileen Supported many charities throughout the years, and she was a member of First Baptist Church where she was one of the Awana leaders.  She loved to garden, especially enjoying her flowers, and “having her hands in the dirt.”  Eileen's family, church family, and cherished friends were always her priority.
Her family includes: four children Phillip Strong of WA, Steven (Marilyn) Hayden of Laurier, WA, Dennis (Michele) Hayden of Dayton, IA and Theresa Bullock (Dennis Bottorff) of Lehigh, IA; 18 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild & two brothers Bill (Carol) Boyea and Gene (Peg) Boyea all from WI, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (David Brian) & two brothers (Jackie & Bob Bussian).
