Faith McDowell, 70, of Webster City, died at her home on Friday, September 24, 2021. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 4th, 2021, at Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.
Faith was born on May 8, 1951, in Fort Riley, KS to Kenneth and Corrine (Klingman) Roys. Faith attended school in Garnavillo, Iowa, then went on to earn her BS degree at Wartburg College, and her Masters in Chemical Education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. On June 11, 1977, she married Harley McDowell, in Garnavillo, Iowa. She taught Science in South Dakota, Klemme, Garner and Webster City school districts until her retirement in 2010. The family was able to take many car trips during the summers.
Faith was a member of the PEO, and Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City, where she led Bible Studies, and sang in the Choir. She enjoyed sewing Raggedy Ann dolls and teddy bears for the children of the family. She also read a lot, and did science experiments with her granddaughter.
Faith’s family includes: Harley her husband of 44 years; Son: Shane (Bridgett) of Northville, MI; grand-daughter: Katherine; siblings: Kenny (Joddy) Roys, Lonnie (Marcia) Roys, Melody (Wayne) Derber, Kevin (Jeannie) Roys, Connie Roys, and Lisa (Mica Diaz) Roys; and 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
