In 2001 he moved back to Webster City, Iowa to be closer to his own grandchildren, working for Prestige Farms until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of Kamrar United Methodist Church and former member of the Kamrar Lions Club. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping, and camping. He has crossed the Rainbow Bridge now sitting on a bucket telling a fresh bunch of stories to family and friends on the other side.
