Howard Moon

Howard Eugene Moon, 75, of Kamrar, Iowa, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Paula J Baber Hospice Home, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Services will be held at a later date.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Howard was born on August 20, 1948, to Herbert and Deloris (Kennedy) Moon in Clarion Iowa.  After Graduating from Clarion High School in 1967, he went on to Auto Body School and Des Moines Area Community College, graduating in 1969.  Howard worked for several Body Shops in Iowa and Missouri until he started his own shop.  He married Marcia Krieger on April 8, 1971, in Webster City, Iowa.

Howard enjoyed showing his cars at local car shows, and he and Greg  Philbrook started the Kamrar Car Show.  He attended the Hot Rod Power Tour, traveling all over the USA.  When he wasn’t working on cars or showing them, He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Western Movies, especially ones with John Wayne.

Howard’s family includes his wife, Marcia; children: Paula (Dan) Brumley, Molly Frana, and Jason (Valene) Moon; grandchildren: Jacob (Faith) Frana, Daniele (Ryan) Moon, Samanatha Frana, Lane Frana, and Jennifer Moon; and one great granddaughter Miley Frana; sisters:  Muriel (Fred) Pilster, LuAnn Jackson, Jean (Bruce) Ewing, Anita (Dennis) Witte and Janet (Mike) Glawe; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Moon.
