Jeffery "Jeff" Humlicek

Jeffery “Jeff” Thomas Humlicek, 66, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2023, after suffering a heart attack, and then a brief illness. At the end of his life, we remember that he loved sunrises, stars and sunsets. So many awesome memories! Come and share yours, July 8th, at Briggs Woods, big shelter at the top of the lake, beach side, at two in the afternoon, for a Celebration of Life for Jeff. There will be food and reminiscing.  Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) is caring for the family’s needs.

He was the youngest son born to the late Peter P. Humlicek, II and Patricia C. Hupp Humlicek Peters. Jeff was a husband to his devoted and loving wife Denise Gramblin-Humlicek for 22 years. From a previous marriage to Wanda Humlicek, they had 9 children: Jeffery (Bucky) Jondal, Amanda Humlicek, Dustin Humlicek, Carl Humlicek (Kayla), Eric Humlicek (Nadia), Fawn Humlicek (Rich), Nathan Robinson, Jenny Robinson, Gabby Humlicek (Thad). Brought into the union by Denise were 5 additional children: Shane Gramblin (Tiffany), Amanda Gramblin (Terry), Emily Gramblin (Brandon), Lizzy Gramblin, Jonathan Olmstead (Heidi). And Jeff had one additional child, Sara Murty (Alfonzo).

Grandchildren include:  Destiny B, Sage G, Caden G, Bridjett H, Tyler G, Alexia P, Mason B, Breydon P, Attalyn G, Pryce P, Naythan L, Alyssa H, Ashlee T, Skylan H, Jarek H, Faizy B, Izak H, Grayce H, Baylee H, Leena H, Paisleigh O, Charlee H, Briella B, Giselle B, Aubree O, Levy H, Robbie, Neaveh, Kameron, Corbyn, Damian, Raven, and Elizabeth and one great- grandchild, Calvin G, and several nieces and nephews.

Survived by his mother-in-law Marilyn Timm, brother-in-law Rollie Timm and sister-in-law Deb Timm (Richard) and also a Surviving brother, Peter Humlicek III (Dolly) of San Marcos, CA and one sister, Nancy Grimes, of Bowling Green, KY.  He is preceded in death by one brother, Russell Humlicek and one sister, Alyce Balch. Added to the family were a good number of neighbor kids, whom Jeff loved.

Among his favorites were his wife, kids and grandkids, gardening, boating, fishing, camping, grilling and smoking, hanging out in the backyard with friends, and having “fun in the sun” days at the lake and riding his bike. He also loved his fish! He was hard-working no matter what job he did. He was known to so many in the community as well as around home, as a painter, and as a “Handy” Handyman.

He was an old-time surfer, hippie dude that would give you his shirt, if he had one on, but if not, he would gladly go get you one.
