Jennifer Marie Anderson

"Warrior queen" is what Jennifer Anderson was called by her husband Shawn. He said the nickname really spoke to the strength, the spirit and resolve Jennifer Anderson demonstrated as she battled life-threatening conditions over the past five years. A battle that ended on Sunday, September 29.
Shawn often answered for his wife, but that's not unusual for two people who've been together as long as the Andersons. Married for 21 years, the couple had a whirlwind courtship and married on August 29, 1992, after just three months of dating. "A buddy and I were in a pickup riding around town and I saw this girl walking," he said, recalling the first time he saw Jen. He offered her a ride home. "As soon as she got out of the truck, my buddy turned to me and said, 'You're going to marry that girl.' And I did," Shawn said. They have two children, Alexis, 20, and Kyle, 17, and a grandchild is on the way.
Jen could often be found going to garage sales, spending time with her friends, her chihuahua, Tico, making crafts, camping and fishing. After Thanksgiving you could find her Black Friday shopping, searching out the best deals. In the summer she would ride the four-wheeler, and loved swimming in her pool. Anytime was a good time for a walk or watching a movie. She also loved thunderstorms.
One of Jen’s favorite things was going to social parties with her friends. Just recently there was a party held in her honor at the 7B ranch. "It was a great party," Jen said. "There was a big meal, fireworks, lots of people. It was fun." "Family and friends, my kids and my dog," are what Jennifer Anderson says she relies on for support.  Jennifer is survived by: Her husband;  two children; her dad, Jack Pigman;  her mom and step dad Maureen and Mike Schultz; her grandfather Jack Pigman; sister Christie Pigman; and her ½ brother Larry Pigman.
A co-worker and friend of Jen’s said she and others in the community have been inspired by Jen's courage and Shawn's devotion to his wife. "Shawn's dedication to his wife and being at her bedside, supporting her and caring for her is a source of inspiration for many. Watching the two of them together and the devoted and deep love they have for each other is heartwarming," she said. "They are a great example of what true love and marriage are all about."
Shawn says "My heart is permanently broken. I've lost my beautiful wife this morning. She's gone on to be with God now. I'm so so very thankful for all the 21 years we had together. Jen taught me how to laugh, smile, love, & live. I'm forever grateful. She was, is, & forever will be the best thing that ever happened to me. Jen gave me 2 beautiful children, & taught me how to be a father, & husband. It took a few years, but she got me taught well I think. I am looking forward to one day, rejoining her in heaven."
A memorial Service followed by a potluck Bar-B-Q will be Saturday, October 12, at 4pm at Briggs Wood Beach. Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials in Jennifer's mane.
