Jorge Perez Hernandez

Jorge Pérez Hernández, de 49 años, de Alden, Iowa, falleció en su hogar el 1 de noviembre de 2025. Los servicios se llevarán a cabo a las 6:00 PM, el 15 de noviembre de 2025, en Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com), en Webster City, Iowa.

Jorge nació el 23 de abril de 1976 en Piedras Negras, Veracruz, México, hijo de Isabel Hernández García y Andrés Pérez Flores. Creció en Veracruz y completó sus estudios a nivel High School antes de venir a los Estados Unidos.

Se casó con Julia Hermelinda Sánchez Domínguez. Jorge trabajó arduamente durante toda su vida, desempeñándose en construcción, en Mary Ann’s, y ayudando ocasionalmente en una granja de puerco. Sentía orgullo en proveer para su familia y era conocido por ser responsable, dedicado y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demás.

Jorge fue miembro de la iglesia Mi Casa de Restauración en Iowa. Fuera del trabajo, disfrutaba de placeres simples pero significativos: le encantaba jugar fútbol, hacer asados, y pasar tiempo riendo y conviviendo con sus amigos. Para quienes lo conocieron, Jorge—afectuosamente llamado Moy—fue un amigo leal, un esposo y padre amoroso, un hermano, tío e hijo devoto, y un compañero lleno de alegría. Siempre estaba sonriendo, animado y apasionado por todo lo que hacía. Su calidez tocó a todos a su alrededor. Hoy y siempre, recordamos y honramos al gran Popina.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Julia Sánchez Domínguez; sus hijos, Meritxell Pérez Sánchez y Diana Pérez; y sus hermanos Patricia Pérez, Inés Pérez, Nery Pérez, Carlos Pérez, Isidro Pérez y Reymundo Pérez. También es recordado por su familia extendida y muchos amigos que lo apreciaban profundamente. Jorge fue precedido en muerte por Andrés Pérez, Delfino Pérez, Pino Pérez, Isabel García y Ernesto Pérez.

Jorge was born on April 23, 1976, in Piedras Negras, Veracruz, Mexico, to Isabel Hernandez Garcia and Andres Perez Flores. He grew up in Veracruz and completed his schooling through the High School level before coming to the United States.

He married Julia Hermelinda Sanchez Dominguez. Jorge worked hard throughout his life, holding jobs in construction, at Mary Ann’s, and helping from time to time at a pig farm. He took pride in providing for his family and was known for being dependable, dedicated, and willing to help others whenever he could.

Jorge was a member of Mi Casa de Restauración church in Iowa. Outside of work, he enjoyed simple but meaningful pleasures—he loved to play soccer, host cookouts, and spend time laughing and visiting with his friends. To those who knew him, Jorge—affectionately called Moy—was a loyal friend, a loving husband and father, a devoted brother, uncle, and son, and a joyful companion. He was always smiling, upbeat, and passionate about everything he did. His warmth touched everyone around him. Today and always, we remember and honor the great Popina!

He is survived by his wife, Julia Sanchez Dominguez; his children, Meritxell Perez Sanchez and Diana Perez; and his siblings Patricia Perez, Ines Perez, Nery Perez, Carlos Perez, Isidro Perez, and Reymundo Perez. He is also remembered by extended family and many friends who cherished him. Jorge was preceded in death by Andres Perez, Delfino Perez, Pino Perez, Isabel Garcia, and Ernesto Perez.
