Josef Hassman

Josef Hassman, 65 of Webster City, Iowa, died on Thursday June 1, 2023.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Joe was born on October 11, 1957, in Eldora, Iowa to Oscar and Pauline (Dressen) Hassman.  He worked as a Production Mechanic at Elanco, in Fort Dodge.  He was united in Marriage to Gerry Ann on May 23, 1992, in Eldora, Iowa.  In his spare time, he enjoyed Target practice, working with his computer.  He loved to camp and most of all he loved his family.

Joe’s family includes: His wife; son Jacob Hassman of Coalville; stepchildren:  Christie Smith, Mason Smith, Ryan Smith, and Jasmine (Jim) Bakhaus; sisters:  Jill (David) Street of Seneca Falls, NY, Carol Strait of Eldora, Susan Hassman (Mark Johnson) of Eldora, and Joan (Don) Truog of Reinbeck.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Billy; sister Nancy Bowyer; and brother-in-law Jim Bowyer.
