Josephine Jalomo Acosta, 62, of Webster City, died on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 28, at Anchor Point Church (formerly First Baptist Church), in Webster City. The family will be at the Church at 11:45 AM. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.
Josephine was born on May 20, 1958 to Camilo Ramirez and Mary Jalomo in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1992, she married Luis Acosta in Texas. She also lived in Garden City, Kansas before moving to Webster City in 2004.
Josephine enjoyed crocheting, camping, and cooking for family and friends. She volunteered as a translator for Upper Des Moines Opportunity, the courthouse, and Webster City Community Schools.
Josephine’s family includes her husband; Children: Emerald & Alfredo Diaz, Timothy & Monica Ramirez, Barbara & Joel Amador, Leopold Sanchez & Shelby Nokes, Georgina Sanchez & Bobby Parsons, and Luis Acosta Jr; Grandchildren: Tara and Xavier Amador, Kaden, Keanu, Keegan and Kaspian Ramirez, Arianna and Rebecca Riggs; Siblings: Rachel Lopez, Camilo Ramirez Jr, Johnny Ramirez, Lilly Ramirez and Theresa Hamilton.
