Judith Cormaney

Judith “Judie” Anne Cormaney, 80, of Blairsburg, Iowa, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Visitation will be Monday May 11th at 9:15 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Webster City with a funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM. Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) is caring for the family’s needs.

Judith was born on July 20, 1945, in Mason City, Iowa, to Howard and Ella (Magnani) Beery. During her childhood, her family moved frequently, though she spent most of her younger years in Mason City. She graduated from Camanche High School in Camanche, Iowa. On February 8, 1964, she married Gary Cormaney at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Judie worked in the Webster City and Williams areas for many years.

Judie was an avid quilter and talented seamstress who enjoyed creating beautiful pieces for family and friends. Deeply involved in her church community, she loved to sing and participated in church choir as well as the Webster City Community Chorus for many years. She also enjoyed dancing and had a cherished collection of salt and pepper shakers.

She is survived by her children: Michelle Cormaney (Mark) of Houston, Texas; Cheryl (Dwayne) Cubbage of Katy, Texas; and Troy (Brenda) Cormaney of Wright, Wyoming; her grandchildren: Lydia (Kris) Cantrell, Matthew (Liz) Cormaney, Ryan Cubbage, and Jeffrey Cubbage; great-grandchildren: Riggs, Jonas, and Kennedy; and sister Elena Robertson.

Judie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents; her brothers, Wallace and Ronald; her sisters: Vicki and Diana.
