Kelly Pritchard, 59, of West Union, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Cooper Creek Senior Living in West Union, Iowa. Visitation will be at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh), in Webster City, on Monday March 11, from 4:00-5:45 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM
Kelly was born on July 5, 1964, to Gerald and Lillie (Florea) Pritchard in Iowa City, IA. She attended high school in Dayton, Iowa. In October of 1981,She was united in marriage to Nolan Peterson, at McGuire Bend Church, south of Lehigh. The couple had two children Jamie and Brandon, before they divorced in 1987. Kelly was with Lester Davis from 1988 to 1997, and later was with her companion Warren Patten, Jr. for several years.
Kelly worked at Carriage House Meat packing in Ames, and then in housekeeping at Mary Greeley Hospital for many years. She loved doing many different crafts including, plastic canvas, beading keychains, and Indian head dresses, and making wreaths. If something was crafty, she would try it. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting along the rivers in Iowa, and fishing. She was known for being spunky. Kelly and Junior enjoyed attending the Moose Lodge 104 as members in Boone, Iowa, and helping with the fish fry and Christmas activities. She played on the Dart League in Strat ford, in the late 80’s and early 90’s at Bar None, where she also enjoyed video games and foosball with her long-time best friend Valerie Davies.
Kelly’s family includes her children Jamie Peterson of Webster City, and Brandon (Emily Gramblin) Peterson of Webster City; six grandchildren: Randi (Zack Brinkman) Welch and their son (due soon), Riley Welch and her son Maverick Messerly, Alexa Peterson, Kallee Peterson, Jaxyn Peterson, and Pryce Peterson; mother Lillie Pritchard, of Stratford, IA; Siblings: Julie (Kevin) Hoshaw, of Stratford, Penny Allington of Texas, Sandy (James) Hobbs of Texas, Paullette Pirtle of Texas, Sherry (Carl) Anderegg of Elkader, IA, Tracy Pritchard of Lake City, IA and Gary (Sharon) Pritchard of Boone, IA: and sister-in-law Pam Pritchard of Ellsworth Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Pritchard, and brother Steve Pritchard.
