Kenneth Alan Weidemann, 74, of Indianola, IA formerly of Clark, SD, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his home.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 24 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Federated Church of Bondurant in Bondurant, IA.  His funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Jeff Sanderson officiating.  Burial will be at Linn Grove Cemetery south of Norwalk, IA at a later date.
Kenneth was born to Henry & Lena (Fokken) Weidemann on February 18, 1938 in Clark, SD.  He graduated from Raymond High School in 1957 and entered the Army where the service took him to Korea.  After his honorable discharge in 1962, he returned to farming with his father. 
Kenneth enjoyed farming with his father and in his free time enjoyed the pleasures of hunting and quiet walks in the evening in the pastures on their farm.  He enjoyed many visits from family and friends and most enjoyed when his nieces and nephews visited.   
Kenneth moved to Iowa in 2005 after he retired from farming.  He enjoyed visiting with his siblings, nephews and nieces as well as visiting historical sites in Iowa.  He greatly enjoyed the history of the United States.   One of his favorite past times was reading books and watching shows in regards to history.   
His family includes: siblings Frank (Martha) Weidemann of Freemont, NE, Evelyn (Ron) Kruger of Rio Linda, CA, Doris (Lawrence) Pommerening of Hampton, MN & Edith Dever of Des Moines, IA along with several nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lena Weidemann, brother Earl Weidemann and nephew Randal Erickson.
