Mary Mummert, 73, of Webster City died Thursday August 8, 2013 at her home. A celebration of life will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Rev Craig Blaufuss will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Boman Funeral Home Webster City in handling the arrangements. bomanfh.com

Mary was born on December 28, 1939 in Menomonie, Wisconsin to Willis and Jennie (Behrents) Kistner.  She was a graduate of the Webster City High School.  She was married to Gerald Francis Mummert.  Mary worked as a dispatcher at the Webster City Police Department and the Hamilton County Sherriff’s Department.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mary loved people. She enjoyed being around people, visiting and learning about them.  The friends she made became her extended family, and she was quick to send cards and remember special events.
Mary’s family includes her sister Ann Humble; her nephews, who were like children to her:  Richard & Rita and their children Joel and Alex, Robert  & Connie and their children Margot, Rob, Liz, Zack, Colleen, and Laura, John & Sonia and their son Travis, and also many other nieces and nephews who were special to her.  She was preceded in death by her husband; and her brother in law Richard Humble.
