Mercedes "Ayelene" Payne

Ayelene Payne, 76, of Webster City, died on Monday, January 24, 2022, at The Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. Private family memorial will be held at a later date. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Mercedes Ayelene Payne was born in Ithaca, NY to Richard and Ayelene Payne. After completing her schooling, she worked as a cook in nursing homes and drove the Dart bus. Mercedes enjoyed Crocheting, knitting, and drawing flowers. She was an amazing cook, and a whitty person, loved her family and her animals, she was a caring person who placed other people above herself.

Mercedes’ family includes her daughter Michelle Brown, of Webster City; grandsons: Sage and Noah, both of Webster City; brother Aubrey Payne of Jacksonville, FL; and sister Phyllis Harrah of Jacksonville, FL; and her two fur babies: Diva Sue and Pandora. She was preceded in death by her parents.
