Phyllis Creek Basara

Phyllis M. Creek Basara, age 83, of Carpentersville, IL, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home under the care of and surrounded by her family on Friday morning, June 16, 2023. A memorial service will be held at Boman Funeral Home, in Webster City, Iowa, at 10:30 AM, on Friday July 7, 2023.  Inurnment of Phyllis’s cremains will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Phyllis was born on June 11, 1940, in Webster City, Iowa, and was the daughter of the late Lester and Zada Fuller.  She was a many-year resident of the Carpentersville area before moving to Lena, IL. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Kohl’s at Springhill Mall as a sales associate. She also for many years attended St. Monica Church in Carpentersville. 

Survivors include her children, Susan Wilson, Steven (Donna)Creek, Robert Creek, and Ronda Reynolds. Other survivors include her 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her three brothers, two sisters, her first husband Ronald Creek, and her second husband, Eugene Basara.
