Rhonda Farwell

Rhonda (Vaughn) Farwell, age 57, of Webster City went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. Visitation is on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com). The funeral service is 10: 30 AM, on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Webster City Church of Christ with Pastor Tony Streigle presiding. Her graveside services will be at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City to follow. Lunch will be served at the church afterwards.

Rhonda Sue Vaughn was born on June 20, 1968, to Howard LaRue and Judith Antoinette (Zeman) Vaughn in Perry, Iowa. They lived in Panora where she attended school until she was in second grade when they moved to Manning, Iowa. She graduated from Manning High School with the Class of 1986. Following graduation, she traveled around, making stops in different states, as well as Carroll, Iowa before settling down in Webster City in 1995. Since arriving in town, she worked at several places including: the radio station KQWC for 12 years, The Lunch Box for 8 years, along with Hardees, K-Mart and Van Diest over the years. She also spent time going back to school, earning an AA degree from Iowa Central and then went on to earn a B.A. in accounting from Buena Vista University.

She met her husband Kevin Farwell originally in 1995 through a mutual friend who was trying to set them up, but it just wasn’t the right time. Then in October 2017, they reconnected through their church and got married June 9, 2018, in Blairsburg, Iowa at the Missionary Alliance Church.

Rhonda was blessed with two boys, Jacob and Derek, and one daughter Cecilia, along with step-children Amber, Amanda, Megan, Natalie, and Desiree, who gave her many grandchildren to enjoy spoiling. Rhonda enjoyed connecting with friends and family, talking all the time! She loved watching birds outside their windows and hand-feeding a squirrel in their backyard. She had lots of plants in their house and flowers outside their house. She and Kevin also loved coloring books and doing dozens of jigsaw puzzles together. They also enjoyed watching Marvel movies with extra buttered popcorn and M&Ms. One of the things that she was the most proud of was her over 30 years of staying clean and sober.

Surviving Rhonda are: her husband Kevin Farwell of Webster City; son Jacob Blevins (Sarah Masterson) and children Danny, James, Lilli, Lucas of Bucyrus, Kansas; son Derek Booth of Iowa Falls; daughter Cecilia Martin of Webster City; step-daughter Amber Bakken and children Collin and Chloe of Fort Dodge; step-daughter Amanda Gamble and children Ariauna, Diezel, Braxton, Juniper of Webster City; step-daughter Megan Barker (J.D.) and children Wyatt, Brock, Karlie of Fort Dodge; step-daughter Natalie Long (Chris) and children Adain, Jordan, Dylan of Webster City; step-daughter Desiree Farwell of Webster City; mother Judy Vaughn of Denison, Iowa; siblings: Marcella Richardson of Harcourt, Iowa, LaDonna Coates of Rapid City, SD; and Luke (Lisa) Vaughn of Denison, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
