Sheryl Elaine Knox Sponenburg, 60 of Webster City, Iowa passed away at her home after a lengthy illness. She grew up in the Milburn, Illinois area. When she lived in Illinois she worked at Cherry Electric and Jewel Foods, which is where she met her husband Harry Sponenburg.
In Webster City, she worked at the local hospital and also at Hy-Vee Grocery Store. There was never a task Sheryl could not accomplish from needlepoint, crocheting, sewing, cooking, or farming with her husband.
Sheryl is survived by her husband Harry whom she married on April 20, 1974, her son John Paul Sponenburg of Princeton, IN, her daughters Robin Kennedy and husband Lonnie of Robards, KY, and Lisa Dorothy and husband Troy of Webster City. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexis, Neven, Corbin, and Lane, brothers Michael Knox and Larry Knox and his wife Carol, father and mother-in-law Paul and Barbara Courington, brother-in-law John Kevin Sponenburg, sister-in-law Melonie Pischke and her husband Mark, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Larry Knox, mother Irene Knox, and sister in law Joanne Knox.
