Rev. Willis E. Nicholson, 91, of Webster City died Sunday December 15, 2013 in Webster City.  His memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Kamrar, IA. Rev. John Wilson will be officiating.


He was born to Walter & Bertha (Johnson) Nicholson in Brooten, MN on May 20, 1922. He graduated from Brooten High School and then attended Northwestern College in MN and college in Jamestown, ND, and earned his degree in Theology from University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA.
On July 26, 1950 he and Ida (Mickelson) were married.  Willis pastored in George, IA for 27 years and Lonerock for 10 years.  He served as an interim pastor in Burt, Kamrar, Garner & Lakota.  Willis was a member of the Lions and enjoyed fishing and riding horse.
His family includes: four children Dan (Carolin) Nicholson of North Richland Hills, TX, Debdie (John) Caparoula of New Castle, PA, Doug (Ruth) Nicholson of Webster City, & Dwight (Michele) Nicholson Eagen, MN; nine  grandchildren Jim (Jamie) Nicholson, Kama Sroufe, Blake Stroschein, Bill (Stefanie) Caparoula, Luisa Caparoula, Zackeriah Nicholson, Andrew Evans, Caroline Evans & Matthew Evans; four great grandchildren Max Nicholson, Lila Nicholson, Mason Caparoula & Ryder Caparoula; two brothers Harvey of    New Prague, MN & Lewis of Gresham, OR.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, two brothers (Russell & George) & three sisters (Esther, Julia & Marcella)
